In a surprising move by Microsoft, perhaps to increase IE7’s market share, the WPA check has been removed from the installation routine for Microsoft’s latest browser. Quoting from Ars Technica’s article

“The move is remarkable because it is the first time that Microsoft has removed WGA checks from a product in order to increase the attractiveness of that product. It’s difficult to see this as any but an attempt to get as many users as possible to install IE7, even those who have pirated Windows.”

So, all you Windows Pirates, go ahead and install IE7 (if you aren’t using Firefox, and aren’t insane)…Windows won’t nag you anymore.
